Gaarden - Center for Bornholm food culture
Come and see what a Bornholm farmer's house and everyday life looked like in the 17th century, meet the animals in the stables and in the courtyard and find local products in the shop.

The farm consists of three houses. The main house Melstedgård, where the farmer and the family lived and had all sorts of chores both outside and inside during a long working week. In Madkulturhuset here, food is experimented with and workshops are held, such as smoking and fermentation. And what we call Skafferiet, which is both a café with coffee, cake and light snacks as well as a shop for locally produced goods.

At Gaarden there is plenty of space for both children and adults, feel free to ask the ladies in the house if they want to tell about life on the farm or go for a walk up to the old mill.
