2022-06-25 10:00 - 17:00 Bornholms Museum Rønne Ronne Ausstellung udstilling

The island's cultural history from ancient times to the present

The museum's three floors contain i.a. permanent exhibitions about the rich Bornholm archaeology, which includes the largest collection of gold nuggets excavated from Sorte Muld, Bornholm's shipping and a surprisingly large ethnographic collection, which contains Denmark's second-largest collection of objects from the Belgian Congo.

You can also learn more about the German occupation, which after the bombing of the Russians was occupied by Soviet troops and the Cold War. Or did you know, for example, that the classic Bornholm clocks do not actually originate from Bornholm at all - Come in and find out the true history of the Bornholm clock.

On the museum's top floor, you will be taken back to the children's Bornholm with an old-fashioned schoolroom and a toy collection that evokes memories for the oldest visitors. There is also a playroom for children and an outdoor area where one can try searching with a metal detector.

Bornholms Museum is a large gathering place for Bornholm's history, culture and lived life.

Open Monday to Saturday from 10-17.
