Family Adventure Camp on Bornholm

Family Adventure Camp on Bornholm

Take the whole family to the sunny island and experience a real adventure in nature with the most passionate instructors on Bornholm

Go on an adventure holiday with your family on Bornholm during the summer holidays, where you can all go mountain biking in the beautiful nature, climb, surf, SUP board and try sea kayaking. We were so lucky to be able to hire the Bornholm continuation school, which is located in Bornholm's picturesque North Woods. We start on weeks 28, 29 and 30 with a super cool programme with activities for the whole family, big and small.

You can travel directly on Kombardo Express from many major Danish cities including Aalborg, Aarhus, Silkeborg, Odense and Copenhagen for less than 1000 DKK for a family of 2 adults and 2 children round trip.

We are repeating the success from this summer and have once again gathered some of the most talented and passionate adventurers on Bornholm to show us their fantastic rocky island. All are passionate about their activities and lifestyle and all are trained to pass on this passion and enthusiasm. Bring the whole family and experience a real nature adventure on Bornholm.

In addition to the programme, the campsite has plenty of outdoor games and activities, a wildlife pool, volleyball court, sauna and a fire pit. In addition, the beach is just outside the courtyard where SUP boards and sea kayaks will be available all week, so you always have the opportunity to get on the water.

There is only room for 60 people, so hurry to book the most fun summer adventure with your family. We leave Sunday to Saturday on all weeks.

Family adventure camp

We have teamed up with Christian Terry who is a true Bornholmer and the man behind FlowTeknik, where he does mountain bike technique courses and helps many Danish mountain bikers to improve. Christian will show us all the great mountain bike trails on Bornholm and not least the most beautiful trails in the wild nature. Terry and his instructors divide us into levels, so there is something for those who want speed and challenges and those who want to enjoy the beautiful Bornholm nature. Both children and adults can join in.

We have also teamed up with Laust Højmark from Klatring Bornholm, one of Bornholm's most skilled climbing instructors who will teach us both climbing and rappelling and what better place than at the beautiful Opalsø on Bornholm... We will try a 290-meter long cable car over the Opalsø, as well as a 44-meter drop when we will rappel down the cliffs at the lake. It will be fun and challenging. Of course, we'll make sure everyone can join in, both the daredevils and those with a bit of a fear of heights. Please note that there is an age limit of 7 years for climbing and 8 years for rappelling.

Bornholms Surf Club is ready to help us find good waves and give us some good hours on the water, where they will teach us tips and tricks for wave surfing, but since it's all about good wind conditions, it may therefore be that the program is moved around. Everyone can join, both experienced and beginners.

Bornholms Surf Club

To be able to say that you have seen Bornholm, it is alpha and omega that you also see the island from the waterside. We have therefore teamed up with Jonas Bagger who will take us on a unique sea kayak tour. We will have the opportunity to see the rocky island from the Baltic Sea and we will visit small caves on the trip. It will be pretty amazing. The instructor will make sure to show us the basic techniques of sea kayaking, so everyone can join in confidently.

Last but not least, we want to put some focus on sustainability, and respecting our playground. That's why we've got Magnus and Miller, two local marine biologists working for a healthier Baltic Sea, to organise an exciting morning at Tejn harbour. They will talk about life under the sea surface and how we can best protect it. They will do this in a children's environment, catching crabs and tasting the local seaweed.

A little practical information about the trip:

The full board will be provided throughout the stay. Breakfast will be served from 8-10 am before the day's activities start. Lunch will be catered after breakfast so we can enjoy lunch in conjunction with the day's outdoor activity.
Each morning we have arranged yoga from 8-9 am.
Each day after the activity is over, snacks and coffee are ready when we all return at 3 pm. If you haven't had enough, there are plenty of fun activities at camp to get involved in before dinner is served. There are opportunities for SUP or just playing in the garden. We have all sorts of little activities ready, like a round ball, football, king games, beach volleyball and not least a wilderness bath for those tired muscles.

All activities, except yoga, are included in the price, so you can sit back and enjoy a week full of fun planned activities for young and old. If you need a day or two to relax, that's possible too. You can head into Rønne, explore the rocky island or enjoy the sauna and wilderness pool. The programme should be seen as a fun option, but it's up to you to decide what you want to do most during the week.
There will be a Danish guide all week to make sure the program plays out and we all get equipped together.
There is only room for 60 people in total, so hurry and book the most fun summer adventure with your family.
