I have a background as an engineer and have worked as a software developer for over 20 years. I started getting into photography around 2010. I had this idea that I could make money from my photos, and I even put a few up for sale online. But the competition is fierce on the internet, and I wasn't skilled enough.
However, I didn't significantly improve as a photographer or artist for many years.
In the latter half of the 2010s, my wife and I went through a stressful time. We decided to sell our house without really knowing what we would do next. On another summer vacation in Bornholm, we realized that this was where we wanted to move. We've had many holidays there and are completely in love with the island.
I also decided that it should mean dedicating more time to the art of photography. And now, my ambition is to start a gallery where I will sell my pictures.
In September 2021, we will move into a house in Nexø, where there is plenty of space to have a small shop. I plan to expand my portfolio throughout 2021 and 22 and expect to open the doors to the gallery in 2023.
