Mikrobageren is a small, family-run bakery in the heart of Bornholm. It’s a passion project created and run by our family, including our grown-up children, all working together with love for sourdough baking and respect for traditional craftsmanship.
We share a deep joy in creating honest products — full of flavor and soul.
Our story began in the summer of 2022 with a small flea market and some freshly baked sourdough rolls from our home oven. The warm response, enthusiastic feedback, and our daughter’s dream of running a café inspired us to turn that joyful moment into something more — and so, Mikrobageren was born.
Thanks to our neighbor, a local ceramic artist from Lov i Listed, who gave us our first espresso machine, we set up a small takeaway stall selling baked goods and coffee straight through our kitchen window. That cozy setup quickly gained affection from locals and passersby alike.

In 2023, we invested in a stone oven from Rofco (Belgium), and added a second one in 2024 to meet the growing demand for our handmade sourdough breads.
