Autumn holidays on the farm

At the farm, you can taste, feel and experience where food and drink come from throughout the week.

Follow along as pigs are slaughtered, information is given about hunting, potatoes are dug up, boiled, fried and baked at the outdoor museum Melstedgård. Experience folk dancing and music in the courtyard. There are also lots of cute animals on the farm that want to be greeted and petted.

In the old days, the autumn holiday was called the "potato holiday". In the Food Culture House, we therefore take a closer look at potatoes and their history - and you can make your own chips with exciting herbal salt. You can also take part in a fermentation workshop or a honey syp workshop, meet local food producers, come to a long table dinner or a film screening. Explore our program, day by day, on this page.

In Skafferiet you can both make good purchases of delicious local food and you can enjoy a portion of hot soup or a cup of hot cocoa, coffee and tea, freshly baked cake and other delicious things.
